BNP-nominated candidate Zahid Uddin Swapan has been declared the unofficial winner in the Barishal-1 (Gournadi-Agailjhara) constituency during Bangladesh’s 13th National Parliamentary Election. According to results from all 129 polling centers, Swapan, running under the paddy sheaf symbol, received 99,418 votes. His closest rival, Jamaat-e-Islami candidate Md. Russel Sardar Mehdi, secured 45,140 votes with the balance scale symbol. The results were announced by Gournadi Upazila Assistant Returning Officer and Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md. Ibrahim.

The constituency has a total of 314,304 registered voters, including 163,756 men and 150,548 women. The unofficial results indicate a clear victory margin for Swapan.
