Independent candidate Salman Omar Rubel has been unofficially declared the winner in the Mymensingh-1 constituency, which covers Haluaghat and Dobaura upazilas. According to unofficial results, Rubel, who contested with the horse symbol, secured a total of 38,567 votes in Dobaura and 68,674 votes in Haluaghat. His main rival, Syed Emran Saleh Prince, representing the paddy sheaf symbol, received 32,584 votes in Dobaura and 68,486 votes in Haluaghat.
Postal ballots added 1,024 votes for Rubel and 856 for Prince, giving Rubel an overall lead of 6,339 votes. The results were reported by local correspondents from Haluaghat, Mymensingh, and are based on unofficial tallies from all polling centers in both upazilas.
