Public entry to the National Memorial in Savar will remain closed from March 23 to 25, 2026, as part of preparations for the celebration of the Great Independence and National Day. The closure aims to facilitate cleaning and maintenance of the memorial premises ahead of the national observance.

According to an official information release issued on Friday, entry will also remain restricted on March 26 until invited guests leave the memorial after the early morning ceremony. Authorities have requested public cooperation to preserve the sanctity and overall beauty of the National Memorial during this period.
