The admission process for MBBS and BDS courses in private medical and dental colleges for the 2025–26 academic year has officially begun in Bangladesh. According to a directive signed by Professor Dr. Md. Mohiuddin Matubber, Director of Medical Education at the Directorate General of Health Education, the process started on Wednesday and will continue until March 31. Each student must initially deposit 100,000 taka during admission.
The directive states that the list of selected candidates has been prepared through an automated system based on merit and preferences from online applications. Selected students must complete admission procedures within the specified period at their respective colleges. Students admitted may apply for optional online migration to other colleges with vacant seats between March 29 and March 31. Required documents include exam certificates, mark sheets, registration cards, citizenship certificates, and passport-size photos.
Colleges must verify and retain original certificates, conduct medical examinations before admission, and upload final student lists to the designated portal. Institutions have been instructed to submit lists of admitted and non-admitted students to the Directorate by April 1.
