A Dhaka court has denied bail to Mohammad Faisal, Managing Director of Isti Medical Bangladesh, and ordered his imprisonment in a case filed over the alleged sexual assault of his niece. The order was issued on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, by Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Sefatullah. The prosecution confirmed the decision through Sub-Inspector Tahmina Akter. Faisal had surrendered to the court earlier in the day and sought bail through his lawyers.
During the hearing, defense lawyers argued that the case was fabricated due to a family land dispute and that the alleged incident was falsely dated. They requested bail under any condition. However, lawyers representing the complainant opposed the bail plea, leading the court to send Faisal to jail. The case was filed on April 23 by the victim’s father, Mohammad Habibur Rahman, at Gulshan Police Station.
According to the case statement, Faisal allegedly lured his niece with outings and later attempted to assault her in his office and car in June 2025. The incident came to light months later when the victim reacted upon seeing Faisal at a family event.
