Police in Nikli upazila of Kishoreganj recovered the hanging body of a young man on Wednesday morning. The deceased was identified as Linkon Bormon, 20, son of Sukhen Bormon from Bormonpara village under Nikli Sadar Union. Locals discovered the body hanging from a scarf tied to a beam on the veranda of a room at the Nikli cremation ground around 10 a.m. and informed the police. Officers arrived at the scene and recovered the body.

Nikli Police Station Officer-in-Charge Md Rafiqul Islam stated that an inquest report was prepared and the body was sent to the district hospital for autopsy. He added that the victim’s father, Sukhen Bormon, filed an unnatural death case with the police station. No further details about the cause of death or possible circumstances were provided in the report.
