Engineer Enamul Haque, the Jamaat-e-Islami nominated candidate, has been unofficially declared the winner in the Naogaon-2 constituency, which includes Patnitala and Dhamoirhat upazilas. According to center-based results, he received 65,805 votes in all 53 centers of Dhamoirhat upazila, while his nearest rival, BNP candidate Shamsuzzoha Khan, secured 54,573 votes. AB Party candidate Matibul Islam obtained 1,118 votes in the same area.

In Patnitala upazila, Shamsuzzoha Khan led with 79,421 votes under the paddy sheaf symbol, while Enamul Haque received 74,642 votes under the scales symbol. Despite trailing slightly in Patnitala, Enamul Haque’s large margin in Dhamoirhat placed him ahead overall. The final official result will be announced after adding postal ballot votes.

Local administration officials, including the Upazila Nirbahi Officer and Assistant Returning Officer Prashanta Chakraborty, have urged supporters to remain calm and avoid victory celebrations until the official declaration.
