While Rashid claims the money was a donation, Rashed Khan of the Gono Odhikar Parishad has called for an investigation to determine whether the funds were used for party purposes or taken personally. Khan also cited previous allegations of recruitment irregularities. Imamur countered that the video was leaked maliciously after the woman failed to gain unethical benefits. Following the uproar, NCP has launched a donation website and introduced a fund policy.
