State Minister for Land Mir Helal made an unannounced visit to the Aminbazar and Ashulia revenue circle offices in Savar on Monday, June 8, 2026. During the inspection, he observed irregularities in service operations, officer attendance, and administrative management. The minister arrived in a private vehicle without any government flag, police protocol, or official security detail.

At the Aminbazar Assistant Commissioner (Land) office, the designated officer Shahadat Hossain Khan was absent at the scheduled time and arrived about 15–20 minutes after the minister. Out of eight officers, only two were present on time. Several service seekers outside the office complained of delays in receiving services, prompting the minister to express dissatisfaction over the inefficiency.

Mir Helal reviewed CCTV footage to verify attendance, questioned the poor infrastructure of the information and help desk, and inspected record rooms. Officials reported that mutation services were disrupted due to server issues, after which he ordered show-cause notices for those responsible. He also directed that the information center be run with dedicated staff and emphasized prioritizing service quality and efficiency over working hours.
