US President Donald Trump has expressed hope of meeting Bangladesh Prime Minister Tarique Rahman in person soon, according to a letter sent to the prime minister on Monday, August 31. The information was disclosed by the prime minister’s additional press secretary, Atikur Rahman Rumon.
In the letter, Trump said he firmly believes Bangladesh and its people have a bright future under Rahman’s leadership, despite facing various adversities. He also conveyed his sincere greetings and affection to the people of Bangladesh.
Trump additionally thanked the prime minister for the decision to purchase Boeing aircraft from the United States. He said Boeing would not disappoint Bangladesh and noted that he would always remember the prime minister’s personal attention to the matter.
