Chief Adviser’s Press Secretary Md. Shafiqul Alam stated that a mass wave of support is forming in favor of the 'Yes' vote in the upcoming 13th National Parliamentary Election. He said citizens now understand that voting 'Yes' would prevent the return of autocracy and oppression, ensuring the protection of civil rights, establishment of justice, and security for families. He made these remarks on Friday, January 23, during a visit to the shrine of Baba Buchai Chan Pagla in Batulia village of Dhamrai.

During his visit, the Press Secretary condemned a recent attack on the shrine, calling it a reprehensible act. He emphasized that Bangladesh is a land of saints and spiritual leaders through whom Islam spread in the country. He added that attacking a shrine is unacceptable, urging people to respect cultural and religious diversity.

Shafiqul Alam also noted that Buchai Chan Pagla was a revered saint of the area and that a Baul music gathering is held there every January, featuring renowned artists. He called for maintaining Bangladesh’s tradition of communal harmony.
