Kamrul Hasan Milon, the district Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami, has been declared the unofficial winner in the Mymensingh-6 (Fulbaria) constituency. The announcement was made on Thursday night by Assistant Returning Officer and Fulbaria Upazila Nirbahi Officer Ariful Islam, following the completion of vote counting across all 121 polling centers.
According to the results, Milon, who contested with the scale symbol, received 75,946 votes. His nearest rival, independent candidate Akhtar Sultana, who ran with the football symbol, secured 52,669 votes. The results were confirmed from the Returning Officer’s office after the counting concluded.
The unofficial declaration marks Milon’s victory in the Mymensingh-6 seat, adding to the list of constituencies where Jamaat-e-Islami candidates have reported wins in the ongoing election results.
