Dr. Mahadi Amin, adviser to BNP’s acting chairman, stated that the central goal of the mass uprising was to return the state to the people through a free and fair election.
“Therefore, the most important reform now is the election itself,” he emphasized.

He added, “We go to the people because true power lies with them. They will decide who should be entrusted with running the state.”
Mahadi Amin called for unity to fulfill the aspirations of the July uprising.
