Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Ishaq Dar, paid a courtesy call on Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman on Sunday afternoon.
Dar visited Rahman’s residence to inquire about his health and engaged in more than half an hour of discussions. Following the meeting, Jamaat’s Naib-e-Ameer Muhammad Taher said the two leaders exchanged views on unity within the Muslim world.
Discussions focused particularly on how Muslim nations could take a stronger stance against Israeli aggression in Palestine. They also talked about the importance of collective leadership among Muslim countries and explored opportunities for Bangladesh and Pakistan to work together on issues of mutual interest as neighbors.
