Chief Prosecutor Tazul Islam told the International Crimes Tribunal that the crimes committed by Awami League, Jubo League, Chhatra League, and the 14-party alliance should be considered acts of terrorism. Detailing in an 8,500-page charge sheet across 13 volumes, he outlined cases of enforced disappearances, killings, and torture. He named Sheikh Hasina as the core instigator, along with Obaidul Quader, Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, Salman F Rahman, and Anisul Huq as part of a “Gang of Four” responsible for orchestrating countrywide atrocities. “This trial is not about revenge,” he said. “It’s about evidence-based justice to prevent the return of fascism in a new Bangladesh.”
