Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Assistant Secretary General Dr. A.H.M. Hamidur Rahman Azad stated that the party will play an active role both in parliament and on the streets to implement the referendum verdict and fulfill the people's demands. He warned that if the government ignores public demands and the July Charter, a strong movement will be launched with mass participation to compel the government to comply. He made these remarks on Saturday while addressing a two-day educational camp in the Faridpur region.
Dr. Azad added that Jamaat-e-Islami will cooperate with the government in welfare-oriented and positive initiatives but will continue to protest against injustice, corruption, misrule, and anti-people activities both inside and outside parliament. He emphasized that implementing the referendum verdict has become increasingly popular among citizens and is essential for meeting public expectations and protecting national interests.
The two-day camp included participants from five districts of the Faridpur region, focusing on organizational skills, ideological training, responsibility, and current national issues. Leaders at the closing session expressed hope that the camp would enhance manpower quality and strengthen organizational activities.
