A Saudi expatriate, Md. Yamin Bhuiya, 30, was killed after a truck crushed an autorickshaw in the Bhadughar area of Brahmanbaria town on the Cumilla-Sylhet highway. The crash occurred on Monday evening. Yamin, son of Md. Abul Bashar, was from Bijeshwar village in Ramrail union of Sadar upazila.

His wife, Suma Akter, was injured in the incident and is receiving treatment at the district sadar hospital. Family members said the couple were returning home by autorickshaw after visiting her parental home when the truck hit their vehicle in Bhadughar. Both suffered serious injuries in the collision.

Local people rescued the couple and took them to the district sadar hospital, where doctors declared Yamin dead. Brahmanbaria Sadar police station Officer-in-Charge Md. Shahidul Islam said the body has been kept in the hospital morgue for investigation. Legal action over the incident is under process.
