Protesters have been staging a sit-in at Raju Sculpture in Dhaka University for 18 days, demanding the ban of the ruling Awami League and its allies, labeling them as fascist forces. The demonstration, which began on February 13 with a hunger strike by two Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal leaders, later saw participation from Biplobi Chhatra Parishad on February 15. Protesters have also been collecting signatures in support of their five-point demand for justice. In observance of Ramadan, the sit-in organizers have arranged communal Iftar gatherings, where fasting pedestrians are also joining.
