BNP Standing Committee member Salahuddin Ahmed has questioned the motives of those advocating electoral reforms to delay the national election. Speaking at a public gathering in Feni, he asserted that local elections would not be allowed before the national election under any circumstances. He accused those in power of conducting relentless oppression to hold one-sided elections. Citing a UN report, he claimed that under Hasina’s orders, her ministers and officials have orchestrated killings, resulting in the deaths of thousands of young men.
