Gaza’s Health Ministry reported that Israeli airstrikes killed 72 Palestinians and injured another 314 within a single day. Since the start of Israel’s offensive in October 2023, at least 61,330 people have been killed. Officials noted the figures include only those brought to hospitals; many bodies remain under rubble or on roads, unreachable due to continued bombing and a lack of rescue equipment. The ministry added that 201 people—98 of them children—have died from hunger and malnutrition since the assault began. A total of 1,772 people have been killed while trying to collect aid, including 16 on Friday alone.
