Bangladesh’s Chief Adviser Dr. Muhammad Yunus has instructed law enforcement and border authorities to ensure that those responsible for the attack on Inquilab Mancha spokesperson Sharif Osman Hadi cannot leave the country. The directive came during an emergency meeting held Friday night at the state guesthouse Jamuna, attended by key advisers and senior security officials. Dr. Yunus described the attack as a deliberate assault on the nation’s democratic process and demanded the immediate arrest of the perpetrators.

Advisers from law, home, information, energy, local government, and culture ministries, along with top police, military, and intelligence officials, were present at the meeting. The Chief Adviser warned that any attempt to disrupt the upcoming national election and referendum would be thwarted. He called on citizens to unite for a peaceful electoral process and urged prayers for Hadi’s recovery, who remains in critical condition at Evercare Hospital.

Authorities have been instructed to maintain strict border surveillance and intensify investigations to bring the attackers and planners to justice swiftly.
