The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has won five of the six parliamentary constituencies in Noakhali, while the National Citizen Party (NCP), nominated by the 11-party electoral alliance, secured victory in one seat. The unofficial results were announced on Thursday night by District Commissioner and Returning Officer Muhammad Shafiqul Islam.

According to the declared results, BNP candidates A.M. Mahbub Uddin Khokon, Zainul Abedin Faruk, Md. Barkat Ullah Bulu, Md. Shahjahan, and Mohammad Fakhrul Islam won in Noakhali-1 through Noakhali-5 respectively. In Noakhali-6 (Hatia), NCP’s senior joint chief coordinator Abdul Hannan Masud won with 91,899 votes, defeating BNP’s Mahbuber Rahman Shamim, who received 64,021 votes.

The results show BNP’s strong performance across the district, with vote counts ranging from over 83,000 to more than 219,000 for its candidates, while Jamaat-e-Islami and NCP contenders were the main challengers in most constituencies.
