Bangladesh Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal central president Rakibul Islam Rakib said the entire student community would remain united over Hasina and the Awami League. He made the remarks in a Facebook post on the night of August 5, 2026, saying that all of Bangladesh was united over ensuring justice for what he described as “Mafia Hasina.”

Rakib said student organisations associated with July would continue healthy competition and constructive criticism while working toward a humane, equality-based Bangladesh and pursuing the rights of ordinary students on campuses. He said any misunderstandings among the groups would be resolved through discussions among themselves.

He added that Bangladesh Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal would always demonstrate patience and tolerance. In the post, Rakib distinguished between internal differences among student organisations, which he said could be addressed through dialogue, and the issue of Hasina and the Awami League, on which he said the student community would remain united.
