Iran launched a large-scale attack on Sunday, firing 137 missiles and 209 drones toward the United Arab Emirates as part of what was described as its sixth wave of strikes across several Middle Eastern capitals and major cities. The UAE Ministry of Defense confirmed the attacks, reporting that Abu Dhabi International Airport was among the targets. Authorities said one person was killed and seven others were injured in the incident.

CNN correspondents based in Dubai reported hearing three loud explosions around 8:15 a.m. local time. After a drone or missile was intercepted over the Business Bay area, debris reportedly fell on Dubai’s main commercial port, Jebel Ali, sparking a fire. Local authorities confirmed that smoke was seen rising from the site following the incident.

The report did not include further details on the extent of the damage or any official responses beyond the UAE confirmation.
