Amid intense fighting between two Chin rebel groups in Myanmar, nearly 4,000 people have crossed into the Indian state of Mizoram over the past four days, seeking refuge. According to Mizoram's Home Secretary, the refugees traveled through forested areas to enter India and are now sheltering with relatives or in community halls.
Mizoram is already hosting more than 30,000 refugees from Myanmar, following continued unrest in the Chinland region. As hostilities persist along the border, authorities have confirmed that the recent arrivals have not been sent back, citing ongoing tensions and humanitarian concerns.
