While participating in a political march in Raninagar on Sunday, NCP Convener Nahid Islam emphasized that after the fall of Sheikh Hasina’s regime, it must be ensured that no future political party can repeat the same failures in education, healthcare, administration, and corruption.
Speaking during the party’s "July March to Rebuild the Nation" campaign across all 64 districts, he said the 2024 quota reform protests resulted in many student deaths and injuries, triggering mass public awakening and eventually leading to the toppling of what he called the "fascist Hasina regime." He described 2024 as a year of "new independence" and urged everyone to protect it.
