The AB Party has urged that four key values—equality, social justice, human dignity, and democracy—be established as the core principles of the state.
Speaking on behalf of the party, Joint Secretary General Sani Abdul Haque stated that most political parties, except for two or three, have reached a consensus that no individual should serve as Prime Minister for more than 10 years in any format during their lifetime, as a safeguard against the return of authoritarian rule.
“We’ve emphasized to the commission that reforms inspired by the spirit of the 2024 mass uprising are essential to building a new Bangladesh. All political parties must approach this with a spirit of compromise,” Haque added.
