The interim government has officially banned all political activities of the Bangladesh Awami League under the Anti-Terrorism Act, effective until ongoing trials are concluded. A government gazette issued on Monday confirmed the decision. Interior Affairs Adviser Lt. Gen. (Retd.) Jahangir Alam Chowdhury disclosed the development following a meeting of the National Law and Order Advisory Council.
