Livestock Adviser Farida Akhtar announced that mobile veterinary clinics will be established in all cattle markets ahead of Eid-ul-Adha. These clinics will have qualified veterinary surgeons to ensure animal health and offer basic services for humans working in the markets. She emphasized the importance of safety and hygiene for both animals and traders. The Home Ministry has instructed BGB and River Police to closely monitor illegal goods transportation during Eid. Farida also highlighted the financial burden on small farmers, noting the disparity in electricity tariffs between agriculture and the fisheries/livestock sectors.
