Former Land Minister Saifuzzaman Chowdhury, who fled Bangladesh after last year’s political upheaval, is now facing financial troubles in the UK. Three of his real estate companies—Sadakat Properties Limited, Jariya Properties Limited, and Zeba Properties Limited—are in severe financial distress due to loan repayment failures. These companies have been placed under administrative control by Grant Thornton as efforts are underway to save them or minimize losses. The companies owe £13 million to the British Arab Commercial Bank, holding assets worth £37 million.
