BNP Vice Chairman Md. Shahjahan has won the Noakhali-4 (Sadar-Subarnachar) constituency by a wide margin, according to unofficial results announced late Thursday night. The results were confirmed by Returning Officer and Noakhali Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Shafiqul Islam after counting was completed at all 198 polling centers.
The unofficial tally shows that Md. Shahjahan, contesting with the BNP’s paddy sheaf symbol, received 219,182 votes. His nearest rival, Md. Ishaq Khondaker, who ran under the scales symbol, secured 148,989 votes. The results were declared from the office of the Returning Officer and the Deputy Commissioner following the completion of vote counting.
The report indicates a decisive victory for the BNP in this constituency, reflecting strong support for the party in Noakhali-4 based on the unofficial count.
