Five leaders of the National Coordination Platform (NCP) have submitted responses to show-cause notices issued after they traveled to Cox’s Bazar on the day of the July Declaration event. Joint Member Secretary Saleh Uddin Sifat confirmed the development on Thursday, adding that final decisions will be made by Convener Nahid Islam and Member Secretary Akhtar Hossain. In their responses, leaders Hasnat Abdullah and Nasir Uddin Patwari claimed the trip was pre-informed to top leadership and was intended for informal political discussions, not misconduct.
