NCP leader Sarwar Tushar stated that the party supports allowing MPs to vote independently on any issue other than the budget or no-confidence motions. The party also proposed reforms including: appointing the most senior judge as Chief Justice, expanding the Supreme Judicial Council’s scope, and using a two-thirds majority in both parliamentary chambers followed by a public referendum for constitutional amendments. They also suggested the council, not parliamentary committees, handle investigations into post-tenure corruption or misconduct by constitutional officeholders.
