Fayez Ahmad Tayyab, Special Assistant to the Chief Advisor, has announced plans to create business opportunities for underprivileged individuals in the IT sector. He also declared that those involved in license trading would be excluded from future opportunities. Tayyab stated, “We will formulate policies to ensure that neither the government nor private entities can arbitrarily shut down internet access.” He also confirmed that a white paper on ICT sector irregularities has been published, and a similar investigation is being launched in the telecom sector to root out corruption. BNP leader Ishraq Hossain expressed support for reforms in the sector.
