U.S. President Donald Trump has issued a 50-day ultimatum to Russian President Vladimir Putin to halt the war in Ukraine. If the deadline is not met, Trump warned that the U.S. will impose 100% secondary tariffs on Russia’s trade partners.
Analysts view this as a strategic escalation by the Trump administration to increase pressure on Moscow. As of now, neither Russia nor China has issued an official response to the threat.

Former U.S. President Donald Trump criticized Russian President Vladimir Putin, saying, “He speaks nicely but bombs another country every evening.” Trump confirmed that the U.S. will send Patriot missile systems to Ukraine, with the cost being covered by the European Union. He added that peace talks failed because of Putin’s actions and reaffirmed the U.S. commitment to supplying Ukraine with advanced military technology—on the condition that it will be paid for. Trump also revealed plans to meet with NATO’s Secretary General.

A recent report claiming that North Korea plans to deploy 30,000 troops to support Russia in its war against Ukraine has been dismissed by Ukraine’s military intelligence agency.
Ukrainian officials stated they have found no evidence to support the claim of such a large-scale deployment. However, they acknowledged receiving information suggesting that a smaller force of approximately 1,500 to 3,000 North Korean troops, along with 50 to 100 military units, could be sent between July and August.
North Korea has already been providing military support to Russia, including weapons, and the two countries have recently strengthened defense cooperation through bilateral agreements.

Former U.S. President Donald Trump has expressed hope that Israel and Hamas will reach a ceasefire agreement within the coming week. Speaking in Maryland on Sunday, Trump said negotiations are ongoing and a resolution is expected soon. Israel has reportedly agreed to a 60-day ceasefire proposal, which was relayed to Hamas by Qatar and Egypt. While Hamas has responded positively, Israel has rejected certain amendments. Talks in Doha are also addressing hostage exchanges and prospects for a long-term truce, though Israel plans to maintain a military presence and set up “collection camps” in Gaza even during any ceasefire.

Separatist group ULFA (United Liberation Front of Asom) has alleged that a drone strike by Indian forces on their Myanmar-based camp killed at least three senior leaders and injured many others. The attacks reportedly took place early Sunday morning. India has officially denied involvement, but ULFA insists one commander was killed in the first strike and two more leaders in a second wave. They also reported attacks on PLA (People’s Liberation Army) camps. While a faction of ULFA signed a peace deal in 2023, violence in the region continues.

A group of 59 Labour MPs in the UK has sent a letter to the Foreign Secretary demanding recognition of Palestine as a sovereign state and an immediate end to the genocide in Gaza. Organized by “Labour Friends of Palestine,” the letter denounces Israeli plans to build a tent city in Rafah under the guise of humanitarian aid as a form of forced displacement and ethnic cleansing. The MPs called for the reinstatement of UNRWA funding, the release of hostages, and a trade embargo on Israeli goods from the West Bank, arguing that failure to recognize Palestine undermines the UK's two-state policy.
