Advisor Asif Nazrul revealed that during his previous visit to Saudi Arabia, he requested officials to regularize undocumented Bangladeshi workers. On his latest visit, he was informed that Saudi Arabia has begun the legalization process for undocumented female workers. He also held meetings with Jordanian officials, who indicated that they too are willing to regularize Bangladeshi workers if they express interest.

Malaysian immigration authorities have detained 114 undocumented Bangladeshi migrants during a raid in the town of Bharu. One Indian national was also apprehended. The operation was carried out based on public intelligence. All the detainees are between 18 and 55 years old and were working as laborers. Authorities said the arrests were made under various violations of immigration law, including staying in the country without valid permits or documentation.

Turkish forces have launched electronic countermeasures and jamming operations to intercept Israeli aircraft entering Syrian airspace. The move follows a series of Israeli air raids across Syria, allegedly conducted to protect the Druze community. In response to continued U.S. attacks on civilians and infrastructure in Yemen, the country has announced a sweeping ban on the transport of American crude oil through regional waters, effective from May 17. The official Facebook page of Bangladesh's Ministry of Foreign Affairs was hacked around 8:15 PM on Saturday. Hackers, believed to be from Indonesia, used the page to stream gambling content live in the Bahasa language. The ministry’s Director of Public Diplomacy, A.H.M. Masum Billah, confirmed efforts are underway to restore the page. Officials suspect Bahasa was used to obscure the hackers' true identities.

Citing security warnings, Hindustan Times reported that Indian intelligence agencies had alerted local authorities about a potential attack in Kashmir ahead of PM Narendra Modi’s planned visit to Srinagar on April 19. The visit was cancelled four days prior due to "weather concerns." The attack on April 22 occurred in the Pahalgam region, about 90 km from Srinagar.
