The Bangladesh Public Service Commission (PSC) has announced the 49th Special BCS Examination 2025 to recruit 683 lecturers under the General Education Cadre. Of the total vacancies, 653 are in government general colleges and 30 in teacher training colleges. The highest number of posts—61—are in Bengali, followed by Political Science, English, Economics, and others. This special BCS aims to address the acute shortage of teachers in public colleges, where over 3,500 positions currently remain vacant across the country.
The Ministry of Religious Affairs has announced that preliminary registration for Hajj 2026 will begin on July 27. Interested pilgrims must deposit BDT 400,000 initially. Sagar was regarded as a highly promising officer within the Bangladesh Air Force. His family has traveled to Dhaka to receive his body. Burial arrangements are currently pending a final decision from the family.
