Eyewitnesses reported that the two were severely injured and harassed. They are currently receiving medical treatment. Leaders of the student movement have strongly condemned the attack and demanded the immediate arrest of the perpetrators. The Officer-in-Charge of Gaibandha police station assured that an investigation has been initiated.

Attack on Anti-Discrimination Student Leaders in Gaibandha

On National Army Day, BNP will hold prayers and discussions across the country, including Dhaka, in memory of 57 elite BDR officers who were massacred in Pilkhana. The party will also pay respects at the graves of the fallen soldiers and organize discussions. BNP leader Ruhul Kabir Rizvi stated on Monday evening that the massacre on February 25, 2009, occurred due to a conspiracy involving the then Sheikh Hasina government and international forces.
