BNP leader Ruhul Kabir Rizvi has issued a statement urging the government to take stricter measures in light of the ongoing situation in the country. The statement expresses deep concern over provocative actions by the ousted dictator and his associates, who were removed through the sacrifices of thousands of martyrs. This has led to a surge in public resentment, resulting in the destruction of statues, plaques, and other symbols of the former regime across the country. The statement criticizes the interim government for failing to bring the dictator and his associates to justice in the past six months, leading people to take matters into their own hands. BNP asserts that the public had expected the rule of law but has been disappointed. The party warns that if the government fails to demonstrate its ability to control the situation, the stability of both the state and the administration will be at risk. BNP has called on the authorities to take immediate action to restore order.

She is merely repeating the same old lies!" The post further claimed that Hasina once had a creative ability to fabricate a continuous stream of lies, but now she struggles to invent new narratives. During the attack on the ancestral home of Manjurul Alam, General Secretary of the Upazila Awami League, and Fakhrul Alam, Joint Secretary, local residents in Savar resisted the assault. Rajib and Shomar lived in the house but have been missing since August 5. Angry protesters gathered at Pakija Morr and later went to Raj Manzil, declaring their intent to destroy the autocratic stronghold. As they broke into the house and began vandalizing it, local residents intervened, preventing the fire from spreading. This led to a confrontation, and over a hundred locals chased the protesters, even administering a public beating. Local residents feared that setting the house on fire would spread to nearby homes. Additionally, protests erupted across various regions, including Brahmanbaria, Kishoreganj, Panchagarh, Narayanganj, Manikganj, and Pabna, with attacks and vandalism at homes of individuals associated with the Awami League.

The National Socialist Party (JASD) has strongly condemned the demolition of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s residence at 32 Dhanmondi. In a statement issued on February 6, the party expressed that the destruction on February 5 further revealed the actions of anti-independence and pro-Pakistani extremist forces. These forces, who took control of state power, are erasing the symbols and memories of the Liberation War as an act of revenge for their defeat. The statement emphasized that the destruction of buildings, sculptures, and murals related to the independence struggle and the Liberation War cannot erase the historical facts of the atrocities committed by Pakistani invaders, collaborators, and war criminals, including the genocide of 3 million people and the systematic sexual violence of over 200,000 women. The party also called for peace-loving citizens to raise their voices and foster national unity.
