Russia launched over 6,000 drone strikes on Ukraine in July 2025 alone—marking a record number of attacks in a single month. According to AFP, the strikes killed dozens and injured many more.

Civilian infrastructure including homes, a kindergarten, and an ambulance were damaged. Ukrainian Air Force spokesman Yuriy Ihnat told The Kyiv Independent that the actual number of attacks could be even higher due to underreporting.

On July 9 alone, Russian forces launched a record 741 drones and decoys in one night—more than the total for the entire month of July 2024. Following this, Donald Trump had pledged more "defensive weapons" to Ukraine, though concerns remain about supply shortfalls.

AFP also reported that Russia fired 198 missiles at Ukraine in July—second only to June in terms of monthly volume this year.

98 Killed, Over 1,000 Injured in a Single Day of Israeli Strikes on Gaza: Palestinian Health Ministry

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has postponed deciding on military actions in Gaza if Hamas rejects a ceasefire deal. Internal government divisions exist over whether to surround or occupy Gaza City. Following Hamas’s withdrawal from ceasefire talks, Israel and the U.S. plan to continue military operations alongside increased humanitarian aid. Meanwhile, Gaza faces a severe humanitarian crisis, with millions suffering food insecurity and thousands of children starving. Hamas insists on significant humanitarian improvements before resuming negotiations.

Yahya Saree, spokesperson for Yemen’s armed forces, announced a missile strike targeting Israel’s Ben Gurion Airport using a Palestine-2 hypersonic ballistic missile. The strike reportedly caused panic, sending over four million people into shelters and suspending all air traffic at the airport. Saree stated that this action was in solidarity with Gaza and warned that operations would continue until the blockade is lifted and aggression ceases. He also noted that the Yemeni government is closely monitoring Zionist attempts to suppress support for Gaza from within Yemen.

In a span of two days, more than 100 people have died in Gaza while attempting to collect food. Many others have been injured. UN spokesperson Farhan Haq expressed deep concern, emphasizing, “No one should be forced to risk their life in search of food.”

Haq criticized Israel’s designated routes for humanitarian convoys, calling them unsafe and congested. He urged for unimpeded aid delivery to address the growing crisis fueled by shortages of essential goods.

Former U.S. Marine Anthony Aguilar, who now volunteers at a Gaza-based relief center affiliated with GHF, recalls a heartbreaking incident on May 28. That day, a young boy named Amir walked over 12 kilometers under the scorching sun, barefoot and visibly malnourished, in hopes of receiving food.

Despite hours of waiting, Amir remained hopeful. He approached Anthony, entrusted him with his belongings, kissed his hand in gratitude, and disappeared into the crowd. Moments later, while leaving the area with other civilians, Amir was killed in an Israeli airstrike.

According to local sources, in the 24 hours leading up to Thursday afternoon, 111 people were killed in Israeli attacks — 91 of them were civilians who had gathered in search of humanitarian aid.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health has called on citizens to ensure the safety of six medical supply trucks entering Gaza on July 30. These trucks carry critically needed equipment to save injured and ill patients. The ministry’s appeal highlights the urgent need for secure delivery to prevent further worsening of the humanitarian crisis.

Ukraine continues to face relentless Russian drone attacks, with significant territorial shifts occurring in areas like Kostyantynivka and Pokrovsk. Even relatively quiet zones under Kyiv's control are being targeted.

Former U.S. President Donald Trump, reportedly frustrated with the lack of progress, has reduced his proposed peace negotiation deadline for Vladimir Putin from 50 days to just 12. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky acknowledged the difficult frontline situation, stating that while Russia is not making major advances, the pressure remains intense.

Human Rights Watch reports that Myanmar’s Arakan Army has intensified persecution of Rohingya Muslims in Rakhine State. Since November 2023, the armed group has imposed strict movement restrictions, looted homes, forced labor, detained and tortured villagers, and enforced forced recruitment. Despite promises of fair governance, Rohingyas face increased violence similar to the Myanmar military. Food shortages and land seizures worsen conditions. Over 120,000 new Rohingya refugees arrived in Bangladesh since May 2024. HRW urges the UN and international community to ensure safe, dignified repatriation.

The Thai military has accused Cambodia of violating the ceasefire agreement just hours after it took effect, alleging multiple armed attacks on Thai territory. Cambodia denies these claims. Both nations agreed to an indefinite, unconditional ceasefire after peace talks in Malaysia aimed at ending clashes over a disputed border temple area. Despite tensions, scheduled meetings between commanders are underway. The conflict has caused 38 deaths and displaced nearly 300,000 people. International leaders urge full compliance and peaceful resolution.

At Least 80 Killed in Gaza as Israeli Strikes Continue; Starvation Claims 14 More Lives

Despite a joint statement from foreign ministers of 28 countries calling for an end to Israel’s war in Gaza, the killing and famine persist. Over 59,000 Palestinians have died, with more than 144,000 injured. While many countries recognize Palestine, none have imposed effective sanctions on Israel, maintaining billion-dollar trade ties involving vehicles, chips, and vaccines. Israel rejected the statement, calling it disconnected from reality. Humanitarian pauses in Gaza are brief, with ongoing casualties, including deaths from famine and malnutrition.
