Iran has expressed deep gratitude to Bangladesh for its support during the recent Middle East conflict. Chhatra Dal leader Rakib Sardar has been expelled from his party position for allegedly violating Section 144 by entering an HSC examination center in Natore. The regulation prohibits unauthorized access within 100 yards of the exam venue. Sardar claimed he entered to help his cousin find her seat. However, officials confirmed his presence during the exam. The local UNO has reportedly issued a show-cause notice to the exam center secretary over the incident.

The US Embassy in Dhaka has instructed student and cultural exchange visa applicants to make their social media profiles public. The directive applies to those applying for F, M, or J visa categories. The embassy stated this measure is intended to streamline identity verification and facilitate the review of applicants' eligibility.

Sargis Alam, the chief coordinator of the North Region of the NCP, criticized the post-uprising developments, stating, "August 8 did not mark the beginning of a second liberation—it marked the start of compromise and the hijacking of the revolution." He noted that August 5 is observed as the "July Uprising Day" and the "Second Independence Day," commemorating the fall of the fascist Awami League regime. Following the transition, an interim government was formed under Dr. Yunus, and the Cabinet Division officially declared August 8 as “New Bangladesh Day.”

Former U.S. President Donald Trump lashed out at Democratic primary winner Zohran Mamdani, calling him a “100% crazy communist” and a “scary-looking man with an annoying voice and little intelligence.” Mamdani, now a frontrunner in the New York City mayoral race, has proposed bold initiatives including free public transport, a rent freeze, and city-run grocery stores. Students and parents were left bewildered after a notice at Kushtia Islamia College barred entry into the HSC exam center with admit cards, registration cards, pens, rulers, pencils, geometry boxes, calculators (even non-programmable ones), and analog watches with needles. Interim government has designated August 5 as the "July Uprising Day" and August 8 as "New Bangladesh Day" following the fall of the Awami League government. In response, NCP leader Hasnat Abdullah wrote, "New Bangladesh was born on August 5, not August 8. The government’s attempt to monopolize the people's achievement will not be tolerated."

The Gano Adhikar Parishad has scheduled a special extended meeting for Friday at the Institution of Diploma Engineers in Dhaka. The session aims to finalize the party’s strategy for upcoming national and local elections. Party leader Abu Hanif confirmed that President Nurul Haque Nur will preside over the meeting. Discussions will include feedback from grassroots leaders and whether the party should contest elections independently or as part of an alliance.

European Union Ambassador to Bangladesh, Michael Miller, paid a courtesy call on BNP Standing Committee member Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury. Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) claims a renewed push for the “Minus One” formula is underway—aiming to eliminate former Prime Minister Imran Khan from politics. Reflecting on the recent political upheaval, he said, “Through the July Revolution, we have been freed from the tyranny of the Awami regime. This historic change was achieved through the ironclad unity of students and the masses.” He noted that over 2,000 people sacrificed their lives during the movement, with thousands injured and many permanently disabled. Jamaat has extended support to the families of the martyrs and victims to the best of its ability.

Following directives from Tarique Rahman, the 'Amra BNP Poribar' organization provided medical assistance to four students critically injured by law enforcement during the August 24 uprising. The aid was handed over at BNP’s central office by Ruhul Kabir Rizvi. The injured students are Abdur Rahman, Sakib Al Hasan, Al-Amin, and Mohammad Sharif.
