SM Mizanur Rahman Mizan, personal officer to Sheikh Hasina, was arrested by New Market police around 10 PM on Wednesday. Officer-in-Charge Mohsin Uddin confirmed that Mizan was detained in connection with a murder case linked to a mass uprising. He was handed over to police by students of Dhaka College and pedestrians who recognized him. Further legal action is pending.

Three individuals, including a female anti-discrimination advocate and two coordinators, were reportedly assaulted by activists of the Feni Government College unit of Chhatra Dal on Tuesday. The victims have been identified as Abdullah Al Mahfuz, Salman Hossain, and Nadia Akter Khushi. According to them, the attackers were led by recently expelled senior joint convener of the Feni Chhatra Dal, Zillur Rahman, and his associates. Salman said they were returning from visiting a hospital patient when around 15–20 Chhatra Dal activists attacked them. The NCP noted that Zillur had previously been accused of threatening a journalist with death.
