Chief Advisor Muhammad Yunus stated that the recommendations which can be quickly implemented should be carried out through the current process, as women around the world are watching and will evaluate it. Emphasizing that this is not solely a women’s issue but a broader societal concern, he said the report will be printed like a textbook and made accessible to the public rather than kept as a mere office document. The recommendations from the Women’s Reform Commission will also be brought to political parties through the National Consensus Commission. Commission Chairperson Shirin Parvin Huq added that the proposals have been divided into three categories: actions the current government can take, those for the next elected government, and separate reflections of the hopes and demands of the women’s movement. Earlier, the report was submitted to the Chief Advisor.

BNP leader Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said that Shaheed Ziaur Rahman taught the nation to uphold independence and sovereignty with a distinct sense of identity. Ziaur Rahman, Khaleda Zia, and Tarique Rahman have all led and organized the BNP effectively. He asserted that BNP is a party of the people and that no conspiracy against it will be tolerated. Rizvi criticized some government advisers for repeatedly talking about reforms, pointing out that reforms are usually made and adjusted in parliament. He questioned the need for so much talk about reform if it is already part of the legislative process. He noted that the current government has been in power for eight months, and if elections are held in December, about eight months remain. So, how much more time is needed for reforms? He emphasized that whatever reforms are made now must be approved by the next parliament. Rizvi also criticized what he described as anti-Bangladesh ties between India and the Awami League.

The BNP has scheduled a rally in the Haidarabad area of Muradnagar upazila on Saturday afternoon, while the newly formed NCP (Nationalist Citizens’ Party) plans to hold its own gathering simultaneously in the Pir Kashimpur area—roughly 7 kilometers apart. Despite growing online tension between supporters of both parties, local administration reports that neither group has submitted a formal request for rally permission. Authorities, however, do not foresee any potential for clashes given the physical distance between the events. BNP leader Kazi Shah Mofazzal Hossain Kaikobad is expected to address the BNP rally, while NCP’s rally will feature Md. Billal Hossain Master, father of party adviser Asif Mahmud.
