On Thursday, Israeli drone attacks in eastern Lebanon killed at least six people and injured ten others, according to Lebanese authorities.

A strike on a vehicle on the Al-Masnaa International Road resulted in five deaths, while a separate drone attack in Kafar Dan claimed the life of a civilian. Overnight strikes in Deir Siryan in Marjayoun District killed a Syrian national and injured two more.

The Israeli military claims the strikes targeted Hezbollah infrastructure, including garages, bulldozers, and residential-adjacent sites near the Litani River.

Israel denied targeting civilians and claimed the woman was killed in a Hezbollah rocket attack. A day earlier, a similar strike killed another woman and injured at least 25 others.

Lebanon’s Parliament Speaker and influential Shia leader Nabih Berri has dismissed the possibility of Lebanon entering a war, asserting, “I am 200% certain that Lebanon will not get involved in any war.” He emphasized that Iran does not need Lebanon’s support, but rather, it is Israel that seeks external backing. Berri’s remarks counter widespread speculation that Hezbollah-aligned Lebanon might side with Iran in the escalating conflict.

Hezbollah will directly engage in the Iran-Israel conflict if the United States intervenes militarily or if Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei is assassinated, a source told Middle East Eye. Hezbollah considers such actions as crossing a "red line."

Earlier, on June 14, Hezbollah lawmaker Hasan Fadlallah declared, "Iran knows how to defend itself," signaling that any threat to its sovereignty could draw in regional allies.

Hezbollah Deputy Secretary-General Sheikh Naim Qassem stated that the organization, along with the Islamic Resistance Movement, fully supports Iran’s legitimate and sovereign rights and stands against the hostility of the United States and "the cancerous tumor, Israel."

Qassem said, “We are not neutral. Threats by Donald Trump to assassinate Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei are not just an attack on Iran, but on the entire region.” He added that Hezbollah will respond as it deems appropriate to such aggression by the U.S. and Israel.
