Following a petition by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC), the court has imposed a travel ban on Tuhin, the former Personal Secretary (PS) to the Health Adviser, current PS Mahmudul Hasan, and NCP leader Gazi Salahuddin Tanvir. A Chattogram court has permitted jail-gate interrogation of Chinmoy Krishna Das, a former ISKCON organizer, in connection with four separate cases including obstruction of government work, assault on police, and recent incidents of vehicle vandalism. Public Prosecutor Advocate Md. Raihanul Wazed Chowdhury stated that the order was issued following a hearing on the investigation officer’s petition. The court has instructed that a report be submitted by June 3 after the interrogation.

Following the Supreme Court’s acquittal of Jamaat leader ATM Azharul Islam, Shibir leader Sadiq Kayem wrote on Facebook that the Chief Justice himself described the prior verdict as a “gross miscarriage of justice.” He explained that such a term refers to a serious error in legal proceedings that violates a defendant's rights and undermines the very purpose of justice, often leading to the punishment of innocent individuals while real perpetrators go free. Chief Adviser Dr. Muhammad Yunus has called for expedited development of Matarbari’s infrastructure to transform the coastal region into a leading production and export-oriented free trade zone. “Our vision is to make Matarbari a central hub for ports, logistics, manufacturing, and energy,” he said. Many of them endured years of hardship, and some have passed away since. On Tuesday, civil servants from 25 Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) cadres observed a pen-down strike protesting discriminatory actions by the administration cadre. Under the banner of the Inter-Cadre Discrimination Elimination Council, the protest was in response to unjust suspensions and departmental actions against officials from other cadres. Emergency services, including hospital ERs, were excluded from the strike. Organizers announced that similar protests would be held nationwide again tomorrow.

On the seventh consecutive day, officials and staff from 80 Palli Bidyut Samitis across the country have maintained their work stoppage while keeping electricity services operational. Their seven-point demand includes implementing a unified employment policy, halting harassment, withdrawing lawsuits, and removing the REB Chairman. This is the first time in Bangladesh's legal history that the Supreme Court has acquitted an individual previously sentenced to death in a war crimes tribunal.

In response to the acquittal of Jamaat leader ATM Azharul Islam, Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman stated that the execution of 11 party leaders was carried out through fabricated verdicts. “Justice itself was brutally murdered,” he said, blaming an authoritarian government for deliberately eliminating the Jamaat leadership. He added that had these leaders been alive today, they could have guided the nation through its current crisis with wisdom. Dr. Rahman expressed hope that, with the support of the people and by the grace of Almighty Allah, the politics of revenge and discrimination would one day come to an end.

Gaza’s Health Ministry reported 81 more Palestinians were killed in the past 24 hours due to ongoing Israeli airstrikes, with 53 of the victims from Gaza City alone. At least 169 were injured. Authorities believe the actual number of casualties is higher as many remain trapped under rubble. Since the war began over 18 months ago, a total of 53,977 people have been killed and 122,966 injured—56% of them women and children.

Political commentator and adviser Asif Mahmud remarked, “Moves by different wings of the Janatar Moncho (People's Platform) are becoming clearer.
