The International Crimes Tribunal has issued arrest warrants against 15 individuals in connection with the murder of Chattogram’s Wasim Akram, a student leader killed during the July uprising. The list includes former Chattogram mayors A.J.M. Nasir and Rezaul Karim, as well as former Deputy Minister for Education Mohibul Hasan Chowdhury Nowfel. Wasim was shot dead by police in Chattogram on July 16, the same day Abu Saeed was killed in Rangpur.

Eminent cultural personality, Rabindra Sangeet singer, and Chhayanaut President Sanjida Khatun has passed away at the age of 93 due to age-related complications. She breathed her last on Tuesday afternoon while undergoing treatment. Inna Lillahi Wa Inna Ilayhi Raji’un. Sanjida Khatun was educated at Kamrunnesa School, Eden College, Dhaka University, and Visva-Bharati University in Shantiniketan. She also taught at Dhaka University.
