Tensions flared in Nilphamari’s Jaldhaka as two rival BNP factions scheduled rallies at the same venue, prompting the local administration to impose Section 144 from morning to evening on Tuesday. He revealed that at the time, he was not even a member of Jamaat-e-Islami but was part of another organization, which he hesitates to name now. He lamented the persecution faced under the previous oppressive government, which led to the deaths of 11 senior leaders and the crippling of over 500 people. He recalled that on August 1, their party registration was revoked, and they were banned. However, just four days later, he believes divine justice was served. He declared that they stood alongside students during the July Revolution and emphasized their commitment to building a welfare state in honor of the martyrs.

The Chief Adviser’s Press Wing has issued a statement calling The New York Times' report titled "Bangladesh Rebuilding Anew, Islamist Hardliners Seek Opportunities" "misleading and one-sided." The statement criticized the report for oversimplifying Bangladesh's political and social dynamics, unfairly tarnishing the entire nation. It argued that the report selectively highlighted certain incidents while ignoring Bangladesh's recent progress and the complexity of its realities. It further noted that female participation has increased across all sectors, with 2.7 million women participating in Youth Festival 2025. Additionally, it dismissed allegations that the Chief Adviser was not taking action against extremists. The statement emphasized Bangladesh's economic progress and refuted claims that isolated political violence was being misrepresented as religious violence.
