Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has arrested three activists from the Awami League and Jubo League over a sudden flash procession in front of Delta Hospital in the capital's Dholaipar area. A Bangladeshi youth was shot and killed by India’s Border Security Force (BSF) near the Sharifpur border in Kulaura upazila of Moulvibazar on Saturday night. The International Crimes Tribunal has accepted charges against three individuals, identifying Sheikh Hasina as the key instigator in a crimes against humanity case filed in July-August. This marks the first formal judicial proceedings against the former Prime Minister. Arrest warrants have been issued for Sheikh Hasina and former Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal. Former Inspector General of Police Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun is already in custody. The prosecution team, led by Chief Prosecutor Mohammad Tazul Islam, read out the charges in court.

Chhatra Shibir leader Sadiq Kayem has accused the ruling Awami League of committing judicial killings of Jamaat-e-Islami and opposition leaders under fabricated charges of war crimes.
