Gunfire broke out Monday as Palestinians made their way to an aid distribution center run by the Israel- and US-backed Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF).

Swedish activist Greta Thunberg has departed Israel on a flight bound for France after being detained from a humanitarian aid ship. However, at least five other rights activists arrested alongside her have refused to leave Israel voluntarily, according to Israeli authorities.
France’s Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot confirmed on Tuesday that the activists refused voluntary deportation after their arrest from the vessel Madlen. Israeli authorities stated that those unwilling to sign deportation documents would be presented before a judicial authority for forced removal.

The Ministry of Women and Children Affairs has announced 317 job openings under five temporary posts in the revenue sector. Positions include Child Rights Officer, Community Hub Organizer, Office Assistant, Security Guard, and Cleaner. Qualifications range from Class 8 to postgraduate degrees, with relevant experience required. The National Academy for Planning and Development (NAPD) will oversee recruitment. Police have arrested Chanawul Haque Hero, president of the Krishak League’s Badalgachhi Upazila unit in Naogaon, in connection with a sabotage case filed under the Special Powers Act. Badalgachhi Police Station’s Investigation Officer Saiful Islam confirmed that the arrest relates to a case filed at Naogaon Sadar Model Police Station. After his arrest, Hero was sent to jail following a court order. Sources say he had been in hiding since early August.

BNP leader Abdus Salam Pintu stated that the prevailing instability in the country has instilled fear among the public. Several National Citizens’ Party (NCP) leaders have accused BNP leaders of involvement in 123 murders between August 7 last year and June 7 this year. A luxury SUV worth crores, found in the parking lot of a multi-storey building in front of the Kushtia Superintendent of Police’s office, has been claimed by Mumtarin Ferdous Dorin, daughter of murdered former MP Anwarul Azim Anar. Dorin confirmed that the Land Cruiser Prado belongs to her father and has demanded its return.

The Indian Air Force is set to receive the advanced A1 variant of the HAL Tejas fighter jet by the end of this month. A bizarre dispute over tissue paper escalated into a violent clash between two groups of villagers at a restaurant in Sarail, Brahmanbaria. At least 15 people were injured.
