The commitment came during a felicitation program organized at the Noakhali District Shilpakala Academy for students who gained admission to various public universities this year. After the two students shared their struggles and hardships during the event, Nasir agreed to bear their educational costs following a request from district BNP leaders.

Three young men were killed after their motorcycle collided with a passenger bus in Shibpur, Narsingdi. The victims were identified as Saiful Islam (25), Ashiq Mia (23), and Apu Mia (20)—all residents of Mirzakanadi area in Shibpur.
According to locals, the three friends were traveling together when the tragic accident occurred, leaving the community in shock.

Workers and small business owners have begun returning to Dhaka following the Eid-ul-Azha holidays. Since Tuesday morning, returnees from the southern region have been arriving via buses and launches, while others are seen at various terminals and railway stations. Two butchers were hacked and seriously injured in Dhaka’s Kamrangirchar following an old rivalry over sharing slaughtering work during Eid-ul-Adha. The incident took place on Monday. Police have arrested one suspect, Md Arif Hossain (30), and recovered a machete and a Chinese axe from his possession.
The injured victims, identified as Md Shimul (26) and Suman (40), were attacked after Arif—reportedly upset over being excluded from the work—launched the assault.

Pakistan targeted 20 Indian fighter jets during recent hostilities but managed to shoot down only six, claimed PPP leader Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.

Speaking at a public event, Bilawal emphasized Pakistan’s commitment to peace, stating, “The world has seen that Pakistan is not only capable of resistance but is also a responsible advocate for peace. We want all disputes, starting with Kashmir, to be resolved through dialogue. But talks remain stalled because of India’s reluctance.”

The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) have claimed that the body of Hamas’ military chief, Mohammad Sinwar, was discovered in a tunnel beneath the European Hospital in Khan Yunis, Gaza.

The annual Hajj pilgrimage has officially concluded, with return flights for Bangladeshi pilgrims commencing today and continuing until July 10.
